2. Do you believe that the government should be a conduit from your taxes to bank owners, stockholders, wall street executives, etc.?
3. Do you believe in the "buy now pay later" plan?
4. Do you really believe that your life will improve in the long run if you, your family, and your neighbors do not learn how to use seriously less energy, and have less debt?
5. Do you trust President Bush's recommendations about how to repair the damage that has been tolerated during his administration? Another way to ask this is: Have you heard President Bush suggest doing anything differently than the way it has been done during his administration?
6. Do you trust governmental bureaucracy to create well thought-out, carefully considered policies regarding our country's economic future in a few short days or even weeks in an economic climate that experts from all political perspectives have characterized as a "whole new ball game?"
This is NOT very Zen. But, I do believe in staying awake, aware, and active in the face of oncoming harm, where we have some ability to influence the outcome. This bailout proposal is a destructive continuation of what has brought us to this point and should not be allowed to roll out.

My pet conspiracy theory is they knew the shit would hit it when the new admin came in so they had to start writing stuff down. Then it was starting to domino and real connected people were going to get hit hard so they came up with this shock doctrine in order to pull off one last bilking of public funds.
Better hurry! The sky is falling!
