Conversation with my grandson, Joey, age 8:
Joey: "What is a jumper?"
Me: "It is this dress that I wear over my shirt."
Joey: "How come you only wear jumpers?"
Me: "Because I like jumpers and I have a lot of them." ( I am thinking two things, which I decide not to say to Joey. 1. It frees up lots of neurons that I don't have to stand in front of the closet spending wasted time and energy deciding what to wear, and 2. I ran a successful career and raised three pretty amazing children, and I don't have anything left to prove, so I get to wear whatever I please.)
Joey: "Do all old ladies wear jumpers?"
Me: "No, but they get to wear whatever they want."
Joey: "Oh."
