Yesterday was one of the saddest days of my life. After whole days and days of agonizing preparation for travel, changes in tickets, etc., etc., etc. I was all ready to make the big trek to Japan. Got to the airport, and found that I did not have the correct passport. Could not go. Dejection of immeasurable depths abounded. Drove home, cried, sunk into bed.
Today I awake, the sun is shining for the first time since we got here to the island. Beaches await, and soon, the family will arrive. We will spend the day exploring beaches. Japan will wait for another day.
